According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea could have a way to sign Robert Lewandowski. Bayern Munich are considering the possibility of a sale as they try to look to the future. The Bavarian giants are interested in Erling Haaland.
It’s no secret that Chelsea have struggled in the absence of a prolific No.9 and have had to rely on goals from midfielders and defenders. It’s rather peculiar when you realize Chelsea have three strikers and all of them come with their own set of problems.
Hence, it was no surprise to see them get linked with a move for one of the best strikers on the planet. Robert Lewandowski has taken his game to new heights with each passing year and has a ridiculous scoring record. He has scored 40+ goals in each of the last 6 seasons and was a central part of Bayern’s treble in 2020.
Bayern are starting to plan for their future. Lewandowski may still be going strong but he is 32 and sooner rather than later age catches up. That is why they have opened up for a sale for the Polish hitman. They are planning to bring in Erling Haaland to replace him.
For a striker, it does not get better than Lewandowski. Even at 32, he does not look like he is slowing down. While Chelsea would have ideally liked to sign someone younger like Haaland, Lewandowski might not be a bad signing. Bayern have opened the door for sides like Chelsea to make a move. The Blues would be wise enough to follow the lead.
