“Football is fast moving”: Agent of Chelsea star leaves the door open for future Bundesliga transfer

Transfer News: Timo Werner’s agent keeps the door open for Bayern Munich move

According to transfer news from Mirror, the agent of Chelsea striker Timo Werner has kept the door open to a move to Bayern Munich. His agent spoke about a reunion with Julian Nagelsmann given how the pair worked together at RB Leipzig.

Werner was one of the hottest strikers in Europe when Chelsea threw the cash for him. He had shown his goal-scoring prowess for RB Leipzig over the last few seasons. However, one can safely say Werner was not a hit at Chelsea in his debut season. His goal tally dropped spectacularly over the season compared to his last year at Leipzig.

It has been an all too familiar sight of Werner missing chance after chance. The 25-year-old squandered several easy chances in league games as well as the FA Cup final. It might have cost Chelsea dearly but in the end, they did win the Champions League.

His agent, Karlheinze Fosterbe, spoke about how the pair of Werner and Julian Nagelsmann found success at Leipzig. He, however, did not rule out a potential move to Bayern Munich in the future, with Nagelsmann now in charge of the German record champions.

“Julian let Timo play in a different position at Leipzig. A bit like Thomas Muller at Bayern. Julian and Timo appreciate each other. Of course, I don’t yet know what will happen in three or four years. Football is fast moving.”

It is understandable that Werner struggled given he is playing in a whole different league with new players. There was also a managerial change that would have had some effect. However, letting him go so soon might be a bit too harsh. He is a talented bloke and should be backed.
