Chelsea handed a blow in Harry Kane chase as striker eyes PSG move

Transfer News: Chelsea handed blow in Harry Kane chase

According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea have been handed a huge blow in their pursuit of Harry Kane. The Tottenham striker has relayed to his representatives that he would only move to PSG to reunite with former boss, Mauricio Pochettino.

Harry Kane has been the main man for Spurs for a while now. However, after another trophyless season, it seems as if he has reached his boiling point. The striker has asked the club to allow him to leave at the end of this season. He wants to take on a new challenge in his career.

That led to clubs such as Chelsea and both Manchester clubs going after Kane given the striker problems at some of them. It is a concerning stat that Chelsea’s top scorer last season was Jorginho with only 7 goals. The forwards Chelsea have at their disposal come with their own set of problems.

Kane prefers a move to PSG

Nonetheless, it appears that Kane has delivered a hammer blow to Chelsea’s hopes of landing the Golden Boot winner from last season. While Daniel Levy was never too keen on selling to a rival, the general consensus is that if Kane is sold, it will only be to a foreign club (h/t Express).

That has resulted in Kane preferring a move to PSG which is managed by his former manager Mauricio Pochettino. The striker is keen on the idea of a reunion. That should tell Chelsea to look at other targets such as Erling Haaland. PSG have shown interest in the striker and vice versa.
