According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Chelsea have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund winger has been informed that he can leave the club in the summer. However, Chelsea will have to fend off strong interest from Manchester United for the Englishman.
Sancho has gone from an ambitious teenager to one of the best right-wingers in the game. His stats for Dortmund are rather mind-boggling. The tricky winger has made 137 appearances for the club so far, scoring 50 goals and 65 assists.
Manchester United have been the principal club chasing Sancho. The whole saga to sign Sancho in 2020 was a well-documented one. Nonetheless, Dortmund stood firm on their valuation of the player as United had to give up.
Now it has been reported that signing Sancho could be much straightforward than before. Borussia Dortmund have told the winger that he can leave the club in the summer as they say their final goodbye in the summer transfer window. It was also reported recently that Chelsea will make an opening bid of £80m to gain some steps in the race.
Thomas Tuchel is said to be a fan of the winger. Chelsea now have the initiative to pull through this deal from under the noses of rivals Manchester United. Sancho has had yet another fantastic season in yellow and that will only serve to raise interest in the forward. The Sancho saga will again likely dominate the news this summer.
