Chelsea learn the transfer fee it will take to re-sign club icon from European giants

Chelsea told how much it would cost to re-sign Eden Hazard

According to Spanish outlet ABC (h/t Football.london), Chelsea will have to shell out a transfer fee of €50m to bring back Eden Hazard from Real Madrid in the summer.

Hazard, an icon at Chelsea, moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 but has endured a rough couple of years in the Spanish capital. Indeed, the Belgian wing-wizard, who was widely regarded as one of the best in the world prior to his move to Madrid, has been ravaged by injuries since making the switch.

As a result, Hazard has never been able to hit the heights that he did with us, leading to frustrations within the Real Madrid camp and the fanbase. And things seem to have reached a head after the Belgian was spotted laughing with his former Chelsea teammates in the aftermath of Real Madrid’s Champions League exit at the Blues’ hands earlier this week. The report claims that the current La Liga champions have grown tired of Hazard’s lack of professionalism and are ready to cut their losses on him. Indeed, Real Madrid would be open to selling the 30-year-old for a transfer fee of around €50m only.

Ever since Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea, there have been murmurs of a potential return to the Bridge for the former LOSC Lille man. And fans have been clamouring for him to come back to Chelsea, even though he has declined quite a bit since securing his exit. (h/t Football.london)
