Chelsea made light work of Porto in their Champions League quarter-final first leg with a convincing 2-0 win. The Blues were a bit worked up going into the game given they had just been handed their first loss under Thomas Tuchel by West Brom.
However, there were no surprises this time around as Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell ensured that Chelsea go into the second leg with a healthy 2-goal lead.
Chilwell, though, provided a moment of magic with a stunning solo effort as he doubled Chelsea’s lead. Fans were quick to notice a similarity with one of their more iconic goals. Considering this was the away leg, the win comes across as a crucial one and made sure that we landed one foot in the semi-finals.
Tuchel couldn’t have asked for a better reaction from his team as we bounced back emphatically from the weekend disappointment against West Bromwich Albion.
Here’s how the fans reacted to Ben Chilwell’s crucial goal vs Porto.
