Chelsea monitor highly-rated Brighton prospect Andrew Moran, also wanted by Man United

Transfer News: Chelsea monitoring Brighton prospect Andrew Moran

According to transfer news from TEAMtalk, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Brighton starlet Andrew Moran. The 17-year-old youth player has managed to impress with his performances and now the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are after him.

Moran joined Brighton just a couple of months ago from Bray Wanderers. He was signed along with Leigh Kavanagh. Both were drafted into the youth side and Moren, especially, has impressed with his playmaking abilities.

With his assists tally reaching double figures for the season, it is believed that a first-team call up is not too far away as Graham Potter will have his eyes on him. Brighton are not in any stance to let him leave given how well he is doing for the U-18s.

Moran is also a prolific scorer with his 11 goals matching his assists tally. It is not hard to see why he has attracted the attention of a club like Chelsea. The Blues have always searched for the best possible young players to sign.

However, Moran’s signing could be one for the future. At just 17, he will need a lot of game time to develop and break into the first-team. Chelsea can look to sign and draft him into the youth side, which has always been very successful. But they will have to fend off interest from Manchester United, who are also after Moran.
