Transfer boost: Chelsea’s 27-year-old attacking target refuses new contract at current club

Transfer News: Chelsea target Andrea Belotti refuses new contract at Torino

According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea target Andrea Belotti has refused to commit to a new contract at Torino. The Blues are looking at Erling Haaland alternatives and the Italian striker has emerged as one.

The 27-year-old has been a consistent, prolific goalscorer in Serie A for Torino, season after season. However, with the Granata staring at the prospect of relegation this term, Belotti could be on the move in the summer.

Belottiā€™s contract with Torino runs out in the summer of 2022. Torino are keen to tie him down to a new deal but the forward has concerns given Torino are in a relegation scrap. We were linked to the forward previously back in 2017 too.

The Blues have had their problems with forwards in recent seasons, with no striker seemingly being able to nail down a starting berth. Timo Werner looks more and more like an expensive mistake. Olivier Giroud is on the wrong side of 30 and somehow, Tammy Abraham is being overlooked.
