Chelsea star’s reassures that his client will stay put at Stamford Bridge

Transfer News: Agent reassures of Chelsea stay for Jorginho

According to transfer news from Football.london, the agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has assured that he will remain at the club. Exit links for the player emerged after his comments about Naples and the London weather.

Reunion with Maurizio Sarri could be on the cards as both parties could return to where they gained prominence. Sarri and Jorginho have an intertwined history.

The Italians had a successful stint at Napoli for three years before leaving for Chelsea in 2018. As soon as Sarri was appointed, he demanded Jorginho’s signing and so he was signed.

While Jorginho is still at the club, Sarri left in 2019 to join Juventus. He is currently a free agent after leaving Juve last season. However, Napoli are in talks to bring back Sarri as a replacement for Genarro Gattuso. Napoli president Aurelio Laurentiis wants to bring in the former manager.

Jorginho spoke out on how he missed Naples in Italy and that London was too cold. That somewhat put his future up in the air but his agent, Jorge Santos, insisted that his client will remain at the club.

210309 — LONDON, March 9, 2021 — Chelsea s manager Thomas Tuchel R celebrates with goal-scorer Jorginho after the Premier League match between Chelsea and Everton at Stamford Bridge in London, Britain, on March 8, 2021.

This does bode well given how important Jorginho has become for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel. He dictates the play well from the middle and controls the game. With his agent speaking about a new contract, the speculation could be put to rest for a while now.
