Chelsea plan swap deal involving Timo Werner to sign Erling Haaland

Chelsea considering a swap deal for Erling Haaland and Timo Werner

According to SportsMole, Chelsea are planning an audacious swap deal involving Erling Haaland and Timo Werner. The Blues are hopeful of a cash plus player deal to bring Haaland to Stamford Bridge next season.

It had been reported earlier that the Blues are not among the six sides he considers joining at the end of the season. However, it has now been said that Chelsea are confident that they have the financial muscle to offer Haaland eye-watering pay.

To top that off, there is the factor of their squad filled with young superstars that they think can persuade the Borussia Dortmund starlet in choosing Chelsea.

While Chelsea did bring in Timo Werner for big money this season, his faltering form has raised questions about whether he can make his mark at the club. Even Thomas Tuchel has admitted that Werner may not exactly fit the style of play at Chelsea.

With Werner still not looking well settled at the club and the need for a prolific goalscorer still evident, a swap deal has been proposed. Chelsea are hoping that some amount of cash plus Werner moving the other way can be enough to coax Dortmund into letting go of their prized asset.
