Transfer News: Chelsea could get a boost in signing Paulo Dybala

According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea are likely to get a huge boost in their efforts to land Paulo Dybala. It has been said that Juventus are interested in signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United and that could leave them in a situation to let go of Dybala.

The Juventus star has come on the radar of Chelsea and now is a top target for Thomas Tuchel. The Argentine international is having an under-par season much like his club, and an exit from Europe last week means that Juventus are looking to offload players.

Dybala has not flourished under Andrea Pirlo as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata, Dejan Kulusevski and Federico Chiesa are regulars in the forward line.

He is currently out with an injury but prior to that, he had just scored 3 goals in 16 games this season. This is not the first time Dybala has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

In 2019, he was strongly tipped to move to either Tottenham or Manchester United. Ultimately, he decided to stay back as no transfer materialised. However, even after a great 2019/20 season, Dybala looks nowhere close to those levels this season.

Now with Juventus looking to sign Pogba, they will need to raise funds through player sales due to the pandemic affected economy. Dybala is one of the more valuable assets for Juventus and a sale could just get them a hefty amount which they can spend on Pogba or other players.

It would surely interest potential suitors such as Chelsea, who are keeping tabs on the situation. Quite how this unravels is anyone’s guess but the Blues could well pounce on him if Juventus decide to sanction a sale to raise funds.
