According to Daily Star, Chelsea star Jorginho could be set for a reunion with former manager Maurizio Sarri in Serie A. While there have been no exit links for the player, his agent, Joao Santos, has gone ahead and spoken about linking up with Sarri in Italy.
Santos has spoken about a possible return to Italy for quite a while now despite the midfielder being a regular member of the Chelsea side, both under Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel.
Football is dynamic, nothing can be ruled out. If [Maurizio] Sarri returns, they could make some attempts to bring Jorginho back as well. He likes him, he’s perfect for his game. I’m not ruling out anything. However, he has a two-year contract with Chelsea. He is a starter with the Italian national team, with a good project he would return to play in Italy.
Sarri and Jorginho have worked together previously at Napoli and Chelsea. In fact, it was at Chelsea that both of them moved together at the start of the 2018-19 season from Napoli. When Sarri left for Juventus in the following season, Jorginho too was linked with a switch.
While Sarri is not in charge of any Serie A club presently, Santos has given hints of a switch for his client. Despite saying that Jorginho is happy at Chelsea, he has refused to rule out a move to Italy in the future.
Last summer, Jorginho was linked with a switch to Arsenal and PSG but his agent ruled out any of those moves.
