Atletico Madrid ace reveals admiration for this Chelsea star ahead of UCL clash

Atletico star Joao Felix comes out in admiration for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix opened up about following Chelsea ace Mason Mount over the years and has lavished praise on him.

Ahead of their sides facing each other in the Champions League, the Portuguese starlet from Atletico Madrid spoke about Mount and his earlier playing days.

“I like the way he [Mount] plays, the way he likes to drag the ball, the way he touches the ball. I played with Chris Willock in Benfica three or four years ago and he told me that Chelsea has a guy that he sees who is similar to me and he told me it was Mason Mount. A few years later he appeared in Chelsea and I like the way he plays.’

It surely is a testament to Mount’s qualities since his academy days and the progress that he has made while playing for the first team. Under Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel, Mount has kept up his impressive displays for Chelsea, chipping in with valuable goals and assists.

While Mount was a doubt for the clash against Atleti after suffering a knock in the Southampton encounter, he has made himself available for the game. Much like Mount, Felix will be Atletico’s star man who will want to produce a fine showing.
