Chelsea warned as Erling Haaland could demand £300k-a-week in wages
According to Daily Star, Chelsea target Erling Haaland could demand an eye-watering wage packet in case he moves to another club. A five-year deal with a total worth of £78m and £300k-per-week has been demanded from Haaland’s camp.
Apart from Chelsea, a host of elite clubs have been linked with a move for the Norwegian sensation. Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all shown interest in the prolific striker.
Haaland’s agent is Mino Raiola. A ‘super agent’ who manages the likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, etc. All the clubs who are after the striker have been thrown a word of caution that Haaland is likely to have quite some personal demands if they are to prise him away from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
A £68m buyout clause exists in Haaland’s contract but that clause activates only in 2022. Nonetheless, the German club could cash in on him this summer itself while demanding somewhere around £100m, given the interest generated.
