Thomas Tuchel ready to offload Chelsea ace Callum Hudson-Odoi
According to Sunday World (h/t Express), Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is ready to use Callum Hudson-Odoi in a part-exchange deal to sign top targets Jadon Sancho or Erling Haaland.
The young winger seemed to have reinvented himself under the German tactician, donning the wing-back role in the past few games and making the most of his chances. However, on Saturday, Hudson-Odoi was involved in an unfortunate turn of events.
Having come on as a half-time substitute against Southampton with the team trailing, the England international failed to make the desired impact and was whisked off by the manager thirty minutes into his appearance.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel slammed Hudson-Odoi’s attitude and lack of application, citing that as the reason for him to take off the young winger. And now, it is being claimed that the German tactician is willing to part ways with the England international.
Indeed, the German tactician is prepared to use the England winger as a sweetener in a bid to sign Jadon Sancho or Erling Haaland from his former club, Borussia Dortmund, in the summer.
Having taken over from Frank Lampard last month, Tuchel is keen on building a squad in his own image and sees Sancho and Haaland as key targets heading into the summer transfer window. (h/t Express)

With the pair unlikely to come cheap, Tuchel wants to use Hudson-Odoi in a potential blockbuster part-exchange deal. The 20-year-old has had a difficult season, managing just two goals and assists each in the league.
Following the events of Saturday afternoon, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Englishman.
