Hakim Ziyech unhappy at Chelsea and wants to leave amidst Serie A links
A report by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, via Sport Witness (h/t Express) mentions that summer transfer signing Hakim Ziyech wants to leave Chelsea because he does not feel like he is in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.
Ziyech completed his move to Stamford Bridge in the summer for £37million. The 27-year-old arrived after an impressive spell at Ajax in the Netherlands.
It has been a bumpy season for him. An injury meant that he missed the opening few weeks of the season. However, Frank Lampard started him regularly when he was fit.
But ever since Lampard was sacked, Ziyech has found playing time hard to come by under the new manager. He has not played a single minute in the last three Premier League games for Chelsea.
Ziyech already looking to leave?
Overall, he has just 8 league starts this season. This is far from what he would have hoped when he joined the club. It is now suggested that he wants a move away from Stamford Bridge.
He wants to hold a meeting with Marina Granovskaia in order to sort out his future. AC Milan and Juventus are two clubs that have been linked with the wide midfielder recently. (h/t Express)
Tuchel recently mentioned that Ziyech had to adapt to English football. He showed his belief in the Moroccan international but mentioned that Eredivisie and the Premier League are not the same.
“It is clear he needs to adapt to this kind of football, this kind of league… it’s [Ajax] not the same intensity and it’s not the same competition as it is here.

Ziyech has more than 4 years still left on his contract which expires in the summer of 2025. Thus, it is unlikely that the club would want to sell him unless they receive a very big offer. (h/t Express)
