Chelsea yet to make a move to land Paulo Dybala in the summer
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast (Subscription Required), reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are yet to make a move for Paulo Dybala.
Dybala has endured a slow start to the season, making just 16 appearances. Of these, 10 have come as a starter, with him scoring three goals and assisting two more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
With his contract set to expire this June, the Argentine star could be one of the best players to become available on a free this summer.
Romano revealed that Dybala is yet to agree on a deal with Juventus. The 27-year-old looks set to leave in the summer if no agreement can be reached before then.
“If he doesn’t extend his contract with Juventus before the summer, I think he will leave Juventus.”
Juventus, for their part, appear willing to offer Dybala a lucrative three-year deal. If the forward chooses to reject the deal, Juventus will sell him. Such a situation could force their hand in January.
One team, however, that does not seem to be in the fray, at least for now, is Chelsea. the Blues signed Timo Werner and Kai Havertz this summer and are happy with them.
“Chelsea have not made any contact with Dybala or his agent.”
Dybala is on his day an exciting prospect. Bringing him to the Bridge will surely boost our attack. But given how our new signings are still settling in, adding another player to the mix is not the best idea.

Dybala at this moment in time will be a luxury addition at Chelsea. While it is good to have him, the Blues are not desperate to land him.
Chelsea have enough in their locker to compete at the top. All Frank Lampard has to worry about is to get the players under him firing on all cylinders.
