Chelsea outcast’s agent confirms club’s stand on parting ways with the player

Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri will not be joining Inter Milan on a ‘free’ loan

According to The Mirror, the agent of Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri has opened up on his client’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Ben Chilwell is the club’s first-choice left-back and has made the spot his own since joining from Leicester City in the summer.

Is Emerson Palmieri on his way out of Chelsea in January?

Emerson’s situation has seen him draw interest from Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus. Chelsea too are not averse to parting ways with the Italian in January.

However, they are not willing to let him go for free, even if it is on loan. The same was confirmed by the player’s agent, who revealed that Chelsea are keen to monetize any deal.

“Emerson Palmieri to Inter on a free loan? Absolutely not. Chelsea wants to monetize his sale.”

He also went on to add that Emerson has been a subject of interest from elsewhere. However, he declined to reveal which teams are interested.

“Some teams have already done some enquiries, but not I reveal which ones.”

Having joined from Roma in 2018, Emerson has failed to solidify his position in the Blues squad. Whether a return to Italy is on the cards this January remains to be seen.
