Team News: Chelsea to be without key trio for Wolves clash

Team News: Chelsea could be without three wing wizards against Wolves

According to Football.london, Chelsea will face Wolverhampton Wanderers sans three key attacking players on Tuesday.

The Blues will be keen to get back to winning ways after their loss to Everton at Goodison Park at the weekend. The defeat saw us squander the opportunity to go top of the Premier League.

Despite a number of opportunities, we were unable to put the ball into the back of the net. It is fair to say that we missed the likes of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech on the night.

Chelsea could be without Christian Pulisic against Wolves

While the latter is definitely out for the match against Wolves, there is a possibility that Pulisic could feature. The American international appeared to be on course to feature against Everton but saw his hamstring issue crop up once again.

Speaking after yesterday’s match, Lampard revealed his hope that the player would be available for Tuesday or the subsequent week.

Given Pulisic’s injury history, it’s better to play it safe and have the 22-year-old return in time to face West Ham United on 21st December.

Bayern Munich failed to sign Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer
Callum Hudson-Odoi is also out with a hamstring injury

Ziyech is ruled out until boxing day and is in contention to feature against Arsenal. It will be a boost to Lampard to have the Moroccan star back for the busy festive schedule.

Youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi is also recovering from a hamstring issue picked up in training. Similar to Ziyech, the winger is also in line to return on Boxing day.

Losing three wingers to injury at the same time is something that we have had to deal with. Thankfully, none of them will be sidelined for a lengthy period.

While we may have to do without all three stars against Wolves, there is still enough quality in our squad to get the job done.
