Double blow for Chelsea as two stars are confirmed to have injured their hamstring

Frank Lampard confirms hamstring injury for both Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to Football.london, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided a negative injury update on Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Blues take on Russian side Krasnodar in their final Champions League group stage fixture at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Having already guaranteed top spot, Lampard can afford to rest his big names.

Two players who are not in contention are Ziyech and Hudson-Odoi, both of whom have been confirmed to be struggling with hamstring injuries.

Ziyech limped off in our win over Leeds United on Saturday. Lampard confirmed that the player will have a scan later today, after which he will have a clear idea on his condition.

“He is going for a scan this afternoon, so I will have more information later.”

While Ziyech is likely to have ben rested given his importance to the team, the injury will see Hudson-odoi miss out on potential gametime.

Tomorrow’s match was an ideal opportunity for him to shine and stake a claim for a greater role in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, it would appear that fortune is not on his side.
