Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich ready to go big in the transfer market again
Speaking on The Blue View Podcast, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to bankroll another huge transfer window for the club should things return to normalcy following the Covid-19 situation.
The club pulled out the big guns this past summer, going all out to secure some top-class signings in the form of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech among others.
In the process, the Blues ended up spending in the upwards of £200m. However, Abramovich’s thirst to build an all-conquering team will likely see him splash the cash once again soon, reckons Romano.
“Roman Abramovich wants to spend, he wants to win.”
However, the transfer guru did add that it will only happen if the footballing world returns to some normality following the Covid-19 situation.
“If we will be back in a normal situation, I’m convinced yes Chelsea will spend big again, not like this summer but they will spend big again.”
After what the Blues pulled off in the most recent transfer window, the fact that Abramovich is ready to back Frank Lampard further in the window will come as more music to the fans ears.
