Frank Lampard not willing to sell Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (h/t Football.london), Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has informed N’Golo Kante that he will not be sold.
The Blues boss sees the French midfielder as a key cog in his Chelsea plans. The same was intimated to Kante by Lampard last week.
The 29-year-old has been a key player for Chelsea since signing from Leicester City in 2016. However, an injury-hit campaign last time around saw him play a limited role.
Chelsea’s busy summer saw the club bring in a number of players to the club. This also led to speculation regarding Kante’s future at the Bridge.
He was constantly linked with a reunion with former Blues boss Antonio Conte. The Italian is now in charge of Serie A giants Inter Milan.
A deal, however, could not be reached upon and Kante stayed on at Chelsea. He has since gone on to become a regular once again.
Kante has played in 11 of our 12 matches so far this season. He started all of our Premier League games and looks set to play a key role once again for the team.
With Lampard clearing up the matter with him, hopefully, Kante is now assured of his future. He can now limit his attention to on-field matters as the Blues look to make their way back to the top.
When in form, Kante is amongst the best midfielders in world football. Having him back is a major boost to Lampard’s aspirations.
