Chelsea set to reject European giants’ second bid for rising English star

Callum Hudson-Odoi could be in the starting XI for Chelsea against Norwich City.

Chelsea to refuse all offers from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to The Athletic (h/t The Mirror), Chelsea are bracing themselves for a second offer from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The German giants have been keen on signing the promising Chelsea star since last summer. The player however, chose to stay and extend his contract at the Bridge.

A year on, it would appear that the Bavarians are still keen on the 19-year-old. One of the club’s finest young talents, Hudson-Odoi has what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

According to the report, Bayern’s offer is set to be considerable. However, it will do little to test Chelsea’s resolve.

Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen to integrate the winger into the first-team. Chelsea too share the same opinion and will shut down any bid regardless of the finances involved.

Bayern boss Hansi Flick is a fan of the player. He has made no secret of his admiration for Hudson-Odoi.

The Germans had initially made a loan offer with an option to buy for £70m next year. This was rejected by Chelsea.

It would be fair to assume that their second offer will top the previous offer. Although it represents a significant financial commitment, Chelsea are unwilling to even consider it.

Hudson-Odoi has made five appearances for the Blues this season. During this time, he has scored one goal. That came during our inspired fightback against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.

The youngster appears to have the backing of both the manager and the club. He will hopefully come good and fulfill his potential at Stamford Bridge.
