PSG establish contact with representatives over Jorginho transfer

According to the Express, French champions Paris Saint-Germain have established contact with the representatives of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho over the possibility of a transfer.

Jorginho has been with Chelsea for a little over two years now. The midfielder joined the club from Napoli in 2018, following in the footsteps of then manager Maurizio Sarri.

However, the Italian international has blown hot and cold during his tenure at Stamford Bridge so far. The midfielder had lost his place in the side last season. But, he enjoyed a good run of games owing to injury issues towards the end.

The 28-year-old started our first two Premier League matches against Brighton and Liverpool. However, he was an unused substitute against West Bromwich Albion this past weekend.

And, it is believed that Chelsea could be open to selling him this summer. This is because the club are keen on generating funds and freeing up space on the wage bill as they line up a move for Declan Rice. (h/t Express)

London rivals had been alerted to the potential availability of the Italian and had shown interest. But now, Paris Saint-Germain have also entered the race for the midfield star. (h/t Express)

It is being claimed that the Ligue 1 champions have already made contact with Jorginho’s representatives over a summer move. (h/t Express)

Chelsea are confident of signing Declan Rice from West Ham United before deadline day. So, it would make sense for Frank Lampard to trim the midfield department.

Either of Jorginho or N’Golo Kante could be sold, as per the report. With PSG also joining Arsenal in pursuit of the former, it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
