Chelsea weighing up PSG loan offer for Antonio Rudiger
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are weighing up an offer made by French champions PSG for the loan signing of Antonio Rudiger this summer.
Rudiger’s future at the club has come into question after he was left out of the matchday squad for the last three matches against Liverpool, Barnsley (Carabao Cup) and West Brom. He was an unused substitute for the season opener against Brighton.
And as per the aforementioned report, PSG are looking to make the most of his situation. The French champions have approached Chelsea with an offer to take Rudiger on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. (h/t Daily Mail)
Chelsea are considering their offer, but are understood to be looking to outright sell the German international with a number of other clubs also interested in Rudiger. (h/t Daily Mail)
The 27-year-old joined Chelsea in 2017 from AS Roma and has gone on to rack up 115 appearances for the club so far. However, the 2019/20 campaign was a difficult one for Rudiger, with injuries playing spoilsport.
Frank Lampard opted to start with Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen against Brighton in the first two league games, while Thiago Silva is now in contention as well, after having impressed on debut against Barnsley.
With Fikayo Tomori also an option, Rudiger seems like surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge. However, that seemingly hasn’t diminished his standing in Europe, with a number of top clubs keen on snapping him up. (h/t Daily Mail)

Rudiger still has two years left on his current contract with Chelsea. And the club are hoping to cash in on him now rather than losing him for a cut-price fee once he enters the final year of his deal. (h/t Daily Mail)
So, it does seem likely that the Blues are likely to reject PSG’s offer to take him on loan this summer.
