PSG interested in Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakatoko
According to the Sun, French champions PSG have entered the race for Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The 26-year-old joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 from AS Monaco. However, he failed to make the desired impact at the Bridge and has spent the last two years out on loan.
The Blues have a plethora of options in the midfield and Bakayoko can be considered expendable.
AC Milan are keen on the Frenchman. However, they have failed to make an offer that tickles Chelsea’s fancy.
This has given PSG the opportunity to make their move. The Champions League finalists intend to take Bakayoko on loan for a season with an obligation to buy next summer. (h/t The Sun)
According to the report, Chelsea value the midfielder at £32m. They are seeking a £4.6m loan fee with the remaining £27.4m to be paid as the full transfer fee.
While Milan are still interested, they are unwilling to match Chelsea’s valuation. The Italians are willing to go upto £18.3m.
The Blues are keen to recoup what they can for a player they paid £40m for. Chelsea are more than willing to do business if PSG can fork out the requisite fee.
Bakayoko has made just 43 appearances for Chelsea, all of which came in his first season at the club. During this time, he scored three goals and assisted three more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
