New Chelsea signing could be set for Bundesliga move as a part of £90m star’s arrival

Chelsea defender Malang Sarr could join Bayer Leverkusen on loan

According to The Daily Mail (h/t The Sun), new Chelsea signing Malang Sarr could join Bayer Leverkusen on loan.

The Blues signed the 20-year-old for free after his contract at Nice expired this summer. The youngster is now set to spend the upcoming campaign away on loan.

Frank Lampard has enjoyed an excellent transfer window and is now closing in on German sensation Kai Havertz. The 21-year-old is closing in on becoming the club’s fifth high-profile signing of the window.

According to the report, Sarr could go the other way as a sweetener in the Havertz deal. While a step up from Nice to Chelsea could prove too much for Sarr, a year at Leverkusen will do him a world of good.

It is a win-win for the Blues. Not only can they land Havertz but also ensure Sarr continues his development elsewhere. There is more chance of him gaining first-team football in Germany compared to Stamford Bridge.

According to German publication Bild (h/t Daily Mail), Kai Havertz has passed his Chelsea medical ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old will cost the Blues a massive £90million, making him our most expensive signing ever.

It promises to be an exciting season at Chelsea. We finished a distant fourth behind Liverpool and Manchester City last season. With a reinforced squad at his disposal, Lampard can now attempt to close the gap at the top.
