Chelsea set to continue summer spree with two more signings this week

Chelsea are keen to add Kai Havertz and a new goalkeeper in a pivotal summer transfer window

It has proven to be a busy summer transfer window for Chelsea. The club signed yet another player in Thiago Silva today.

This was the Blues’ fifth signing of the window. However, our activity is far from done.

According to The Express, Chelsea are set to bring in Kai Havertz and a new goalkeeper in the coming days.

With the transfer plans of a number of clubs cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea have made full use of the market this summer.

The Blues moved quickly to secure both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner even before the window opened.

This was followed up by the defensive trio of Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and now Thiago Silva. While Sarr is set to be loaned out, the other two could be key pieces in the Chelsea jigsaw.

The signings of Ziyech and Werner will offset the exits of Pedro and Willian. Adding Havertz into the mix will add much to our attack.

The Blues are closing in on Havertz. According to Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, the only point of contention remains the payment of bonuses. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

Despite the defence getting proper reinforcements, a major worry still exists in the form of the goalkeeper. Kepa Arrizabalaga is under the scanner due to a number of errors made last season.

Manchester United star Dean Henderson was a player on our radar. However, he has now committed his future to the Red Devils by signing a long-term deal.

According to the Evening Standard, Ajax keeper Andre Onana could be a cost-effective option Chelsea could obtain.
