Bayer Leverkusen yet to receive any offers for Kai Havertz

Speaking to Sky Germany (h/t Football.london), Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has revealed the club are yet to receive an official offer for Chelsea transfer target Kai Havertz.

The 21-year-old German international is regarded as one of the brightest young stars in the game currently.

Coming on the back of a sensational 2019/20 campaign, in which he plundered 17 goals and 9 assists in 43 games across all competitions, Havertz has emerged as a top transfer target for Chelsea in the current transfer window. (h/t Football.london)

Recent reports had claimed that Chelsea had agreed a transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of the influential attacking midfielder. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case as Simon Rolfes has claimed that there have been no offers made for Havertz. (h/t Football.london)

“So far we have no offer. We know about the interest of clubs, but there is no official offer.”

Rolfes than insisted that Havertz would remain at the club until their Europa League campaign was concluded this month. (h/t Football.london)

“We have said several times that we will end the season with our entire squad. And that includes Kai. That goes without saying for us.”

Leverkusen value the 21-year-old Havertz at €100m. However, there is hope that a lower fee could be agreed upon, even though Leverkusen director Rudi Voller has insisted that they will not be budging on their stance.

Having already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, we have shown our intent and ambition ahead of next season. Adding Havertz to the side will turn us into one of the most devastating attacking units in the continent. Hopefully, the club manages to get the deal over the line at the earliest.
