Loan Watch: How Chelsea talents performed this week at their temporary clubs

A look at how Chelsea loanees fared this week

It has been an eventful couple of days for Chelsea. First, we wrapped up a top-four finish while today, new signing Timo Werner took part in his first training session.

A number of our loanees too have enjoyed excellent and eventful weeks elsewhere. We take a look at a few of them below as reported by the club’s official site.

Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi helped Championship side Swansea City win the first leg of their playoff semifinals against Brentford.

The Bees were led by Chelsea target Said Benrahma, and the in-form Algerian had a frustrating night as the Swans kept him quiet all game. He was upstaged by Gallagher, who played a key role in Swansea’s winner.

Meanwhile, in Portugal, Lucas Piazon has been scripting his name into the Rio Ave history books. The Brazilian played the whole 90 minutes of the 2-0 win at Boavista. This maintained their one-point advantage over Famalicao, guaranteeing them a spot in Europe.

In Italy, Victor Moses was a part of the landmark 3000th game in Serie A. Inter won 3-0 on the night against Genoa to move above Atalanta to second.

However, they lost out to Juventus in the race for the Serie A title. Moses assisted Inter’s second goal that was scored by fellow loanee Alexis Sanchez.
