Hakim Ziyech set to train alongside new Chelsea teammates

According to Football.london, new signing Hakim Ziyech is set to undergo his first training session at Chelsea.

Costing £33.4m, the Moroccan international is one of two players Chelsea have already agreed on a deal for. The other is Timo Werner.

Although Ziyech’s Chelsea contract officially began on July 1, 2020, he will not be allowed to feature for us during the remainder of the current campaign.

He now appears to have landed in London as he was pictured at the Novikov restaurant and Bar in Mayfair.

According to the report, Frank Lampard has already revealed his training plans for both Ziyech and Werner.

“In terms of the two players, individually, we need to make sure they arrive with good fitness and freshness levels for next season.”

Ziyech’s season at Ajax came to an abrupt end due to the coronavirus. With his season ending in March, the 27-year-old will need to get back to match fitness.

He scored 8 goals and an incredible 21 assists in just 35 games. The prospect of Werner and Christian Pulisic feeding off them is exciting.

The attacker is set to play a key role as Chelsea aim to compete against Liverpool and Manchester City.

Chelsea’s youngsters have shown this season that they have what it takes to step up when needed. By adding experience to the squad, Lampard is ensuring that there is a balance between youthful exuberance and experienced level-headedness.
