While the 2019/20 campaign is still going on, Chelsea fans have been given their first look at the club’s potential home kits for the 2020/21 season. (h/t Express)
Chelsea are currently in their third season of a 15-year shirt deal with Nike, earning them around £60m.
The Blues will have a new sponsor on the front of their kit next season, with Yokohama Tyres set to be replaced by telecommunications network Three. The telecommunications company were announced as Chelsea’s lead sponsor for the upcoming season earlier this year. (h/t Express)
And images of the proposed home kit for next season have been leaked online. The proposed kit is a traditional royal blue and features a large logo from new official shirt partner Three.
It includes a black ‘Pride of London’ trim which runs down the shorts, while the white socks remain. There is also a ‘CFC’ emblem on the sleeve cuffs.
While the kit doesn’t look a lot dissimilar to the traditional Chelsea blue jersey, the giant ‘3’ logo on the front of the shirt comes off as a bit of an eyesore.
Here are the leaked images of the 2020/21 Chelsea home kit.
There had been mockups that were released early on, with ‘Three’ written in lettering rather than the company’s logo. With the latest design not getting positive reviews from the fans because of the logo, they would be better off trying something else.
