According to the Independent, Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has come through unscathed amidst allegations of rape levied against him.
The 19-year-old was arrested last month following the alleged incident with a woman at his west London home. He was later released on bail.
Now that his name has been cleared, Hudson-Odoi has spoken out on the topic for the first time. Posting on his Twitter handle, he confirmed that the police will be taking no further action against him.
He also thanked supporters for their support in what has been a difficult time for him.
The youngster also realizes the importance of being a Chelsea representative and is committed to being a role model on and off the field.

A number of Chelsea fans took to Twitter to respond to the player’s statement. We look at a few of them below.

This is the perfect way to respond to false allegations. You cooperate and when your name is cleared respond with a plain and simple statement saying you’ve been cleared but will learn from this experience and will strive to be better. KING CALLUM IDOLO 💙💙💙💙💙💙

Hopefully you will resist the urge to misbehave next time. Two scandals around a young player playing for Chelsea is not a nice one.

Ignoring club’s policies per Covid-19 and causing nuisance in your neighborhood is a no no.
Hopefully you will do better going forward!!

I hope you press charges against that women, it happens way too often that celebrities and sports stars get accused of things like this, only for evidence to come out showing otherwise, and the women get in no trouble because of it.
