Cesc Fabregas names the best player he played alongside at Chelsea

Taking part in a Twitter Q and A (h/t Mirror), former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has named Eden Hazard as the best player he has played with at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard was one of the best players in the league and was the team’s attacking lynchpin. The Belgian won the Chelsea Player of the Year award thrice in Fabregas’ five seasons at the club.

Fabregas made a name for himself at Arsenal and returned to Barcelona. It turned out to be a harrowing experience for the player in spite of a trophy-laden spell at the Nou Camp. His nightmare in Spain ended when he returned to England with Chelsea in 2014.

He won four major trophies at the Bridge including two Premier League titles. Fabregas formed a formidable partnership alongside Spanish teammate Diego Costa.

Costa beat Fabregas to the player of the month award in the duo’s first season at the club. He also credited Costa as the recipient of the best assist, one the striker contrived to miss. Fabregas jokingly added that he won’t forgive his former teammate for that.

“The half volley one to Diego Costa away at Swansea that he missed… I’ll never forgive him for that one.”
