Chilwell has been garnering interest from a number of Premier League giants with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City set to provide stiff competition to the Blues.

According to the report, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers realizes that he may have to cash in on the defender this summer.

The Scotsman is planning ahead by scouting Taylor who has impressed at Burnley. The 26-year-old has played an underrated role in Sean Dyche’s backline that has conceded just once in their last five games.

Chilwell will not come cheap, especially after the interest in him and is likely to cost in the range of £60 million.

Chelsea are keen on signing a left-back in the summer, given Lampard’s misapprehensions regarding Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.

Alonso has been in good form of late and has scored three goals in the Blues’ last two Premier League games. The goals could prove pivotal in Lampard’s quest for Champions League football.

Whether the player’s good form will force a rethink from Lampard or not remains to be seen.
