Talened Chelsea starlet remains confident of breaking into Blues first-team

Chelsea ace Trevoh Chalobah remains confident of breaking into first-team

According to a report by The Sun, Chelsea starlet Trevoh Chalobah remains confident about breaking into the first-team picture in the near future.

Frank Lampard has successfully brought about a youth revolution at Chelsea. Following Maurizio Sarri’s sacking, the former midfielder was appointed at the helm on a permanent basis.

And since then, he has not disappointed. Prior to the suspension of the ongoing season until the end of April due to the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea were doing well in the league.

Currently placed 4th in the standings with a three-point lead over fifth-placed Manchester United, we look quite capable of sealing a Champions League berth.

Also, we had just wrapped up a definitive win over league leaders Liverpool in the FA Cup – a match where Billy Gilmour shone. Much like Gilmour, players like Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and many others have broken into the first-team.

Chalobah continues to believe that he will follow suit as well (h/t The Sun). The youngster, who is currently out on loan with Huddersfield Town, told the club’s official website (h/t The Sun):

“They’ve done so well and it just shows that it doesn’t matter about your age because if you’re good enough, then you’re old enough.”

On a positive note for the next season, Chalobah said,

“If I do well myself, then hopefully next season I can join those boys I’ve grown up with as well.”
