Reece James wishes to see Eden Hazard back at Chelsea
According to a report by Daily Express, Chelsea starlet Reece James has expressed his desire to watch Eden Hazard return to Stamford Bridge.
A modern-day icon, Hazard left us to join Real Madrid at the end of the 2018/19 campaign and it goes without saying that his absence has hit us to a certain extent.
Although Frank Lampard has successfully built a youth-oriented side, Hazard is being sorely missed.
During his seven-year spell with Chelsea, Hazard won six major honours and was easily one of the best players in his position in the Premier League.
The transfer ban prevented us from signing an immediate replacement for the Belgian but on a positive note, it did lead to the emergence of youngsters like Reece James.
When the 20-year-old was questioned by Bleacher Report (h/t Daily Express) about who he’d like to see back at the club, James replied:
“Eden Hazard. I just loved the way he played. I still love him. He’ll go down as one of Chelsea’s best players ever.”
However, when Reece was asked about his inspiration, he took Didier Drogba’s name.
