Chelsea handed transfer boost as club is willing to cash in on 27-year-old Brazilian

Porto could be willing to cash in on Alex Telles

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola (h/t Daily Mail), Chelsea could make move for Brazilian international Alex Telles in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old’s contract at the Estadio do Dragao expires in 2021 and the Portuguese giants are keen to cash in rather than lose him for free.

The report goes on to say that the defender has decided to leave this summer after refusing to sign a lucrative new offer to stay put.

Both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso look to be on their way out making a replacement at left-back a priority for Lampard.

Signing Telles will not be straightforward given the interest from Juventus, who are ready to make a bid worth £21 million for the player.

The Samba star has a buyout worth £33.5 million. Porto could be ready to sell the player for a lower fee given his contract situation and also to balance their books.

Telles joined Porto in 2016 from Galatasaray after an impressive loan spell at Inter Milan the previous season. He has since gone on to make 182 appearances for the Portuguese side and has scored an impressive 21 goals and 52 assists.

He has scored nine goals and 10 assists in 39 appearances this season as he continues to put up impressive numbers.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the player as they continue to monitor his situation.
