Chelsea to battle Arsenal and Manchester City for Isco
According to Spanish publication El Desmarque (h/t Daily Mail), Chelsea are set to battle it out with Arsenal and Manchester City for Real Madrid’s Isco.
Madrid intends to use the 27-year-old’s sale to help finance the transfer for Kylian Mbappe.
Zinedine Zidane is keen on bringing in the PSG star and Fiorentina Perez is keen to make his manager’s wish come true.
Isco is valued at £63 million and the amount will go some way in financing what is likely to be a hefty transfer fee for Mbappe.
Chelsea have already agreed to sign Ajax star Hakim Ziiyech in the summer. With the arrival of the Moroccan star adding to the presence of Mason Mount and Ross Barkley, its a matter of debate if Chelsea will indeed bid for Isco. (h/t Express)
The report also goes on to claim that Isco could be used as a makeweight in the Mbappe deal with PSG.
Isco is an upgrade over Barkley and Mount and is also much more experienced. A four-time winner of the UEFA Champions League, the Spaniard has the fortitude of a winner and should add immensely to a young Chelsea squad.
the 27-year-old is a former Golden Boy winner and was also nominated for the UEFA Champions League squad of the season for 2016-17.

Isco has found opportunities hard to come by this season. He has made just 19 appearances for Real Madrid with six of them coming off the bench. (h/t Whoscored)
