Conte keen on signing Chelsea winger Victor Moses on loan
Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is keen on bringing Chelsea winger Victor Moses on loan to Inter Milan, according to Sky Sport Italia (h/t Daily Mail).
Moses played under Conte when the Italian was in charge of Chelsea and has already expressed his interest on an immediate move to the Italian giants.
The 29-year-old is currently on loan at Fenerbahce. The Turkish side are unlikely to stand in the player’s wish to move to Italy.
Moses had impressed under Conte as a wing-back in the Italian manager’s 3-4-3 system at Chelsea. He was a part of Conte’s Chelsea squad that won the Premier League and the FA Cup.
The winger made 62 appearances under Conte and scored 6 goals and 4 assists from the right wing-back position. (h/t Whoscored)
The Nigerian has only made six appearances for Fenerbahce this season. Should he join Inter, he would follow Manchester United captain Ashley Young in leaving the Premier League for Serie A in the January transfer window.
Inter have already made it known that they will not pursue a permanent move for Moses this month. They could, however, revisit the situation in the summer if the winger performs to expectations. (Sky Sport Italia h/t Daily Mail)
A fee of £8.5m has been mooted as the figure which Inter will have to pay if they wish to sign the player permanently in the summer.
