Chelsea extensively scout Brazilian starlet Bruno Guimaraes
Globo Esporte (h/t Express) claims that Chelsea’s scouts have assessed Brazilian star Bruno Guimaraes five times in the last year.
The 21-year-old was watched by Chelsea’s scouts in the Copa do Brasil final first leg against Internacional, where the youngster found the back of the net (h/t Express).
The Brazilian can play as an attacking midfielder or in a deeper position and is known for his passing range from the middle of the park.
Guimaraes won’t come on the cheap though as the Athletico Paranaense has a £36million release clause, according to the report.
Chelsea could move for the 21-year-old but they have a transfer ban hanging over their heads.
Blues need more options in the team
The transfer ban put us in a lot of trouble and we have to do the best of the cards that have been dealt.
Frank Lampard has done well with the players he has at the moment, but we could do with more creativity in the middle of the park.
Ross Barkley has been one of the surprises of the season but Guimaraes seems to be a star in the making.
