Transfer news: Blow for Chelsea as key Blues figure is likely to join Serie A giants

The Italian gaffer is strongly linked with Juventus to replace Allegri

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is on the brink of a summer exit as he has reached a deal with Italian giants Juventus, according to the Sun.

The former Napoli manager led the Blues to the Europa League title as well as a third-place finish in the Premier League.

However, his work ethic and relationship with the fans were incurred to more disapproval from the Blues faithful. Bianconeri have chosen Sarri as their next manager as Massimilano Allegri parted ways with the club last month.

Ahead of the Europe League clash against Arsenal, Chelsea chief Bruce Buck held a positive meeting with the Old Lady’s chairman Andrea Agnelli regarding Sarri’s move to Turin.

The 60-year-old holds a winning percentage of 60 with 39 wins and 11 losses in his first ever season in London. The Blues have been heavily linked with their former star Frank Lampard for the managerial position in case of Sarri’s departure.

Letting go of Sarri would be a bad decision by the club given what he has managed to achieve in his first season in England. He deserves more time at Stamford Bridge and we must hold onto him for at least another year before making a decision on his future.

The constant change of managers won’t help the club and it is important that we keep hold of Maurizio Sarri.
