Chelsea target £50m-rated Premier League star as an alternative for Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea are planning a raid for West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic in January, according to Bleacher Report (h/t Metro). The Austrian has been great for the Hammers since his move from Stoke City. In fact, he scored five goals and recorded a couple of assists this season before picking up a hamstring injury.

The report claims that Maurizio Sarri is desperate to add more attacking options to the Blues and wants to land Gonzalo Higuain from AC Milan.

The Argentine striker is on loan from Juventus, and reports (h/t Metro) suggest that bringing him from Italy could be complicated.

Milan are uninterested in signing Alvaro Morata, even on loan, as a replacement for Higuain. The report claims Chelsea are looking at Arnautovic as an alternative to the Argentine.

The Austrian was valued at £50million, as per the report, but West Ham do not want any of their attackers to leave. We have our own problems this season with Olivier Giroud and Morata struggling to score regularly. Sarri even changed things in our starting XI by playing Eden Hazard as the false nine but that experiment hasn’t been fruitful.

Chelsea need a quality forward that can chip in with goals regularly. Hopefully, the board can land a striker in January as we look to bring Champions League football back to Stamford Bridge.
