Manchester City were handed a huge defeat by Chelsea, which ended their unbeaten start in the Premier League. Goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz were enough to see off the Cityzens but there have been allegations of Raheem Sterling being racially abused by some Blues fans.
The BBC reports that Chelsea will take strong action “where necessary” and the Police also released a statement saying:
“We will review the footage to determine whether any offences have been committed.”
The video highlighted Sterling going for the ball after it had gone out of touch and some fans seemed to abuse the player.
This isn’t the first time we have fallen foul of such actions as some fans had blocked a black man from entering a Paris train that caused a stir in the media too.
The win was supposed to be a great occasion for the Blues as we came back into the race for the Premier League crown but several fans were upset by the actions of a few bad apples. This puts a different taste in the mouth after a game which had a lot of tactical aspects to learn for the football followers.
My thoughts on Sterling racism :
The Chelsea fan should be banned from attending games, it’s horrific and is giving us True fans a bad name, however I’m disgusted that the media is crying over this when for months they’ve been racially targeting Sterling in their newspapers.

Regarding Raheem Sterling,
It really pains me to see that we’ve started regressing as humans as all these racist remarks and offensive comments are simply unacceptable. The Chelsea fans who said what they said should be banned from games.
Simply disgusting.

I condemn the racial abuse made by a Chelsea fan at Raheem Sterling today… there is no place for rasicm and these sort of fans need to be banned for life for bringing a bad name to our club and to football! #SorryRaheemSterling 💙
