Callum Wilson of Bournemouth has emerged as a target for high-flying Chelsea, according to the Mirror.
The English striker has scored six times in the Premier League with four assists and has helped the Cherries to the sixth spot in the table.
Wilson is also the highest scoring Englishman in the competition so far, and the report adds that he is being tracked by the Blues.
The report claims that the interest from the Blues could “firm up” in the winter window, should the 26-year-old continue his impressive start to the season.
Chelsea have a couple of strikers in the side in Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud. However, the pair haven’t been convincing in front of goal.
Morata is currently in a purple patch with five goals from six games, but the Spaniard hasn’t looked great since his move from Real Madrid.
Wilson could be a smart signing for the Blues given that we require a striker that can chip in with a few goals. The Englishman works hard on the pitch and is full of running.
The Bournemouth man could come on the cheap and it will be interesting to see how we go about this interest in the coming months.

Maurizio Sarri also has another striker in Michy Batshuayi, who is on loan at Valencia. Chelsea have started the season in exceptional form with no losses so far, and if we sign the right striker, we could be celebrating some silverware at the end of the campaign.
