Chelsea are keen on Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, according to the Sun (h/t Mirror). The report claims Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the 23-year-old Slovakian, who has impressed for the Serie A giants.
Skriniar joined Inter from Sampdoria last season and has only gotten better with each game under his belt.
The report adds that there would be a battle for the defender as he is on Jose Mourinho’s. Maurizio Sarri has his own problems in defence with Gary Cahill looking set to leave the Bridge (h/t Mirror) and the Italian not being sure about Andreas Christensen doing well at the back (h/t Mirror).
Sarri has stuck with Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in the heart of the defence. Luiz isn’t getting any younger and we need to have another quality defender in the side.
Skriniar certainly would be a great addition to the team and if anyone knows the player well, it has to be Sarri during his management spell at Napoli.
It will be interesting to see how expensive the player is given that he is only in his second season with the Italian giants.

Skriniar could line-up in the Chelsea defence for a number of years to come, and under Sarri’s guidance, the Slovakian will get better at Stamford Bridge.
