Nabil Fekir wants to leave Lyon at the end of the season, according to L’Equipe (h/t Daily Star). The French attacker was close to joining Liverpool in the summer but the deal fell through due to problems in the medical, according to the report.
The 25-year-old remained at the Ligue 1 giants but won the World Cup with France. Fekir has been in decent form for Lyon this season with four goals and four assists in the Champions League and Ligue 1 combined.
The report claims that Chelsea want to bolster their attacking options in the team, and Fekir has been linked with the Blues for a while.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also interested in the 25-year-old as they want to replace a few ageing players such as Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, as per the report.
The Blues have a number of attacking options in the side with Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian playing on the wings.
Our midfield seems to be joining in the attack too with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley finding their scoring boots in recent games.
There is no doubt Fekir would be a valuable addition to the side. The Frenchman can play as a winger or in our midfield, and it would make sense bidding for the World Cup winner.

The Frenchman’s failed transfer to Liverpool should not act as a deterrent to any club interested in him, and hopefully, we can beat the competition and sign the Lyon star.
