Olivier Giroud has emerged as a target for West Ham United in the winter window, according to the Mirror.

West Ham striker Andy Carroll could also leave on a free at the end of the season unless the two-year extension option is not taken up. And the club are still deciding over the prospects. (Mirror)

The Hammers have had a long-standing interest in Giroud and also approached to sign him when he was leaving Arsenal, as per the report.

The French striker turned down that offer but his contract with Chelsea will be up at the end of the season. (Mirror)

Maurizio Sarri has rotated his strikers around, with Giroud and Alvaro Morata fighting to become the No.1 option at the tip of the attack.

Even though the Blues are unbeaten in all competitions and are joint-leaders of the Premier League, Giroud is yet to find the back of the net in club football this season.

The 32-year-old has provided four assists for us and seemed to link up better with Eden Hazard in the attack. The Frenchman has also looked better in the tea, and it is surprising that he hasn’t scored for us yet.

Keeping Giroud till the end of the season makes sense as we don’t have cover for Morata after sending Michy Batshuayi on loan to Valencia.
