Chelsea star Eden Hazard could miss the clashes against Bate Borisov and Burnley after picking up a back injury, according to report in the Telegraph.
The Belgian picked up the problem during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United. He was fouled quite a lot of times during the game as Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic picked up yellow cards getting too tight on him. (Telegraph)
The 27-year-old had to be treated after a challenge from Young, which subsequently led to him suffering from pain in his back.
Hazard wasn’t at his best on Saturday as he failed to score. The forward told his friends that he could not accelerate properly and his movements were restricted when he woke up the day after the game. (Telegraph)
Although the problem isn’t considered severe, Hazard could miss the next two games for the Blues. The Bate game should allow Maurizio Sarri to rest his main players in the Europa League, but Burnley cannot be taken lightly.
The Belgian has been the best player in the Premier League this season, and losing him for any of game will be a big blow. Hazard has scored eight times and provided three assists so far.
Chelsea are a couple of points behind Liverpool and Manchester City in the league and will be looking to get back to winning ways against Burnley.
