Spanish fans didn’t have much to celebrate in their 3-2 loss at the hands of England in a Nations League game.
The home side were poor in the first half as the Three Lions raced to a 3-0 lead within 40 minutes. The Spanish did get a couple of goals back, but it was too little, too late.
This was Spain’s first home loss in a competitive fixture since 2003 and was also the first time they had conceded three or more goals in a competitive home game.
The Spanish have a lot of thinking to do but some fans were sure one change was required for La Furia Roja.
Kepa Arrizabalaga was on the bench in the 3-2 loss for the home side and has started the season well with the Blues.
Chelsea are unbeaten in all competitions this season, and with David de Gea leaking goals in this game, some believed it was time for Kepa to replace the Manchester United keeper in the national side.
Spain 2-3 England.
De Gea’s time is up, Kepa Arrizabalaga should’ve started.— Jaxon Victoria (@jfvictoria21) October 15, 2018
Arrizabalaga > De Gea

De Gea should be dropped by Spain. Kepa should now join the squad

For real, De Gea’s a fraud now. Kepa is genuinely going to be pipping him to Spain’s starting spot now…

Kepa and de gea have same weak points. Only kepa is younger and better with his foot. If he works on his one on one saves he’ll dispose de gea.

Kepa ahead of da gea. He’s finished on this platform
